National Round Table “Re/integration of trafficked persons in Serbia”

National Round Table on “Re/integration of trafficked persons in Serbia”, was organized by NGO Atina and Center for Youth Integration with partners King Baudouin Foundation and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH GIZ that represents the most significant collection on witch we tried to find a solution that will help in improving the existing programs of comprehensive reintegration and social inclusion of victims of human trafficking, and also determine what has been done so far in terms of their inclusion, and what more can we do.

The aim of this activity was to discuss long-term socio-economic inclusion of victims of human trafficking through the presentation of main achievements of the program Re/integration of trafficked persons, which was carried out by NGO Atina and the Center for Youth Integration. On this collection all relevant state institutions and civil society organizations took part, and the most eminent experts spoke about this theme: Nenad Ivanisevic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Mitar Djuraskovic, National Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking of the Ministry of the Interior, Fabrice de Kerchove from KBF Foundation from Belgium, Rebecca Surtees of the NEXUS Institute in Washington, Marko Tosic from the Center for Youth Integration, Marijana Savic from NGO Atina, as well as colleagues from other institutions and organizations. On collection were presented seven-year results of a regional TVRP network which is active in seven countries of the Balkans and were discussed future steps that could provide more examples of successful reintegration in Serbia.
