Webinar “Ending trafficking and violence against women and girls in the context of global migration”, 10th of June 2021 which is organised by NGO Atina and European Feminist Network WIDE+.
The main intention of this event is to gather civil rights defenders and CSOs representatives active in the thematic areas of migration, women’s, child and human rights, prevention of violence and trafficking, with the goal to understand CEDAW documents and utilise them for advocacy actions, and a specific focus on the General Recommendation No.38 and experiences of the Balkan route countries.
Speakers at the event will be:
Dr Dalia Leinartė, former chair and member of the UN CEDAW Committee, professor at Vytautas Magnus University, and fellow commoner at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge;
Hajar Mohammadi, Women’s right advocate, Sweden;
Dubravka Vranjanac, Program Coordinator, Save the Children, Bosnia and Herzegovina and
Despina Syrri, Founder of the Symβiosis-School of Political Studies in Greece.
