"We know from the experience of our organization that smuggling often ends up with violence, extortion, and often debt bondage and exploitation, and in there we also see a link with human trafficking. Despite the fact that the victim gave consent to the smuggler to take her across the border, she hasn’t consented to violence and exploitation This is where we start thinking about when the volunteering in entire process stops”.

Girls on the move are among the bravest and strongest girls in the world
"No one should deny or deprive a girl of her rights, and we all must fight for that! You, and I, and all the persons we do and don’t know. We need to reach everyone with this message and pass it on. Only when everybody becomes aware of that will we be one step away from creating a world that is more just and tailored to the girls needs," said 16-year-old Gulzar from Afghanistan, on the occasion of World Children's Day.

INTRODUCTION
Child migrants and refugees who are passing through Serbia are facing a great risk of becoming human trafficking victims, as marked at the conference "Children are not for sale" that focused on risks of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual and other forms of exploitation of children and young refugees and migrants.
Practitioners in the fight against human trafficking
Within the project “Children are not for sale“, jointly implemented by NGO Atina, Center for Youth Integration with support of Save the Children and Swedish Radio Aid, a two day training “Practitioners in the Fight against Human Trafficking” took place. The training is specifically tailored to both male and female representatives of partner civil society organisations, to include the following: Praxis, Center for Youth Integration, Group 484 and Save the Children.
A training held on “Communication techniques with children “
Representatives of NGO Atina held training on “Communication techniques with children“ from September 18-19, 2018 in Belgrade. In participation were the representatives of the following partner organisations: Save the Children, Praxis, Center for Youth Integration and Group 484.
