Two Trainers for a Two-Day Capacity-Building Training for Safe House Representatives - Vranje on trauma-informed care

2. Background and Context
Within the framework of the project “Safe Haven”, ATINA implements activities aimed at strengthening the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of housing-related services for victims of trafficking in human beings across the Western Balkans, with specific emphasis on trauma-informed and gender-sensitive approaches and safety, trust-building, and continuity of support.
The project places a strong emphasis on capacity building of service providers, particularly safe houses, through the development of knowledge, skills, and practice standards grounded in human rights, gender equality, and trauma-informed approaches.
In this context, a two-day training will be held in Vranje for representatives of safe houses to strengthen their professional capacity in housing support for victims of trafficking, psychosocial assistance, inter-institutional cooperation, and individualized support planning.
3. Objective of the Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to engage a qualified trainer to design, prepare, and deliver a two-day training that enhances the capacity of safe house professionals to provide quality, sustainable, and trauma-informed housing-related services to victims of human trafficking, in line with national and international standards.
4. Scope of Work and Responsibilities
The Trainer shall perform the following tasks, in accordance with her professional expertise:
4.1. Preparatory Phase
1. Review relevant project documentation, training objectives, and participant profiles;
2. Develop a detailed two-day training agenda, including thematic modules and training methodology;
3. Prepare training and learning materials (presentations, handouts, exercises);
4. Coordinate with ATINA’s project team regarding training content and logistics.
4.2. Training Delivery
1. Deliver a two-day in-person training for safe house representatives in Vranje;
2. Apply participatory and interactive training methods (group work, discussions, practical exercises);
3. Cover topics including, but not limited to, housing-related support for victims of trafficking; trauma-informed and gender-sensitive approaches; safety, trust-building, and continuity of support; cooperation with institutions and other service providers; and practical challenges and solutions in safe house work.
4.3. Post-Training Activities
1. Prepare a brief training implementation report.
2. Submit final versions of all training materials;
3. Participate in training evaluation activities, in line with project requirements.
5. Expected Outputs and Deliverables
Successfully delivered two-day training;
Developed and implemented a training agenda aligned with project objectives;
Prepared and submitted training materials;
Submitted a brief training report.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights, including rights of use, reproduction, adaptation, and further development of materials produced under this assignment, shall be transferred to ATINA. ATINA shall have the unrestricted right to use the produced materials for its programmatic and project purposes. The fee defined in the contract constitutes full and final compensation for the work performed.

8. Contract and Reporting
NGO Atina will engage consultants under short-term consultancy contracts.
Atina’s professional team will provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with Serbian legal and procedural frameworks.
9. Ethical Standards
All activities must adhere to international ethical and protection principles.
