Together Against Human Trafficking!

The Ambassadors of France and Germany, Anke Konrad and Pierre Koschar, met with Marijana Savić, founder and director of the non-governmental organization NVO Atina, winner of the Franco-German Human Rights and Rule of Law Award, Marija Anđelković, founder and director of the non-governmental organization NVO Astra, and Miroslava Jelačić Kojić, program director of the organization Grupa 484.

These organizations tirelessly work to protect vulnerable groups from exploitation and support victims of human trafficking. They are leaders in Serbian civil society regarding these critical issues, focusing on creating sustainable support mechanisms in cooperation with local communities and relevant institutions at both local and national levels. Therefore, they deserve our support, emphasised the Ambassadors.

France and Germany, together with partners in Serbia, will remain committed to international efforts to end human trafficking, hold perpetrators accountable, and protect and support victims.

The Franco-German Human Rights and Rule of Law Award recognizes civil society's dedication to human dignity and the inalienable rights of all people. Defending, preserving, and strengthening human rights are prerequisites for worldwide freedom, justice, and peace.
