Tribute to Helga Konrad

(1948-2024)

The passing of Helga Konrad leaves a void that will be deeply felt, not just by us at Atina but by everyone whose lives she touched through her tireless and unstoppable activism against human trafficking.

The absence of her unwavering determination and compassionate heart will be keenly felt as we continue the ongoing fight she championed. Her commitment to exposing this horrific crime and her tireless work to support its victims has left a lasting legacy for which we will forever be grateful.

For years, Helga immersed herself in the complexities of human trafficking, always ensuring that the voices of the most vulnerable were heard. Her work didn’t just illuminate the problem; it actively shaped responses that offered protection and dignity to those trapped in the nightmare of exploitation, a unique approach we will never forget.

We had the privilege of collaborating with Helga and witnessed her unwavering determination to make a difference firsthand. Her efforts, which helped countless victims find the support they needed to rebuild their lives, were a beacon of hope in the fight for justice and awareness.

Thank you, Helga, for everything you did. Your work has shown the world that change is possible when compassion and action come together, and we are forever grateful for your inspiring example that will continue to guide and inspire us in the fight against human trafficking.

In gratitude,

NGO Atina
